In the circumstances stated by the Municipal Administration and Urban Development Department in the reference third read above, after careful examination of the proposal and in partial modification of the orders issued in the G.O. first read above, Government have decided to change the appointing authority for certain categories of posts working in Municipal Corporations under the Municipal Administration Department. Accordingly, the following amendment shall be issued.

AMENDMENT

In the Annexure to G.O.Ms.No.135, General Administration (SPF&MC)

Department, dated 24.07.2026; the expression “Commissioner” shall be substituted

against the entries at Sl.Nos.13 to 19, Sl.No.36, Sl.No.37, Sl.No.38, Sl.No.44 and

Sl.No.45 of column-3 under item “III. Classes of civil posts organized into Zone

cadre”; and at Sl.No.5 of column-3 under item “IV. Classes of civil posts organized

into Multi-Zone cadre”.

2. The Principal Secretary to Government, Municipal Administration and Urban Development Department shall take necessary further action in the matter accordingly.
